Hi, I’m Heather! The face behind the paintbrush (or pen) depending on the day. I’ve always been into art & design - it’s just shifted over the years. My love for creating my own art began in high school and has remained a core to my life. From an early career in landscape architecture to building my own company (raise your hand if you remember Design Roots and my calligraphy days!) and the evolution in between. Bringing joy to others makes my heart happy. Whether it’s that special house sketch or a fun pattern on a wall - my goal is to bring a little smile to others’ faces through my art. 

Why did I land on painting walls and making patterns? It started when I painted my first wall in 2018. I wanted wallpaper in our home, but we had textured walls. My hubby said no, so I said “ok, I’ll paint it myself”. After painting a few in our home, I started painting for others and fell in love with the feeling of joy it brought to me and the people I paint for by bringing just a little paint, color, pattern, or art.

A native Texan, I’ve lived in various stops around this great state, but Fairview, Texas is where I call home with my handsome husband, our two kids, and my office mate pup Finn.
